About IronFox
IronFox is an open-source browser built to keep your browsing private and secure. Your personal data and online activity stay yours alone — not tracked, not logged, not shared with third parties.
Take control of your protection level from the start. When you first open the app, you'll choose between three security tiers: standard protection uses your system DNS, while enhanced and maximum protection both switch to secure DNS servers. You can also install uBlock Origin during setup to block unwanted ads and trackers before you start browsing.
The browser itself feels familiar if you've used Firefox — tabs, incognito mode, automatic translation, and bookmark synchronization all work as you'd expect. IronFox is built on the latest Firefox code, so you get current security patches and features. The difference is deliberate: the app strips out libraries that could compromise privacy, giving you a streamlined, security-focused experience without unnecessary overhead.
Common threats get active defense. Malware protection and phishing detection work in the background to warn you away from dangerous sites. Combined with your chosen DNS protection level and optional ad-blocking, you get layered security that adjusts to how much protection you want.
Bookmark sync connects your IronFox experience across devices when you link your Firefox account. Passwords, history, and preferences can travel with you — or stay isolated on a single device, depending on what you choose. Multi-tab support keeps your workflow smooth, and you can open as many tabs as your device can handle without slowdowns.
The settings menu is full of options, which gives experienced users fine-grained control but may feel dense if you prefer simplicity. Stick with the default setup if you want to browse immediately; dig deeper into preferences if you want to tune every aspect of your privacy and security.
This is a browser for people who believe their data belongs to them. No ads, no user profiling, no invisible tracking — just browsing on your terms. Download IronFox to experience what a privacy-first browser actually feels like.
